Visa Direct moves stablecoin-funded cross-border payouts from pilot to production.
USDC prefunding in near real time, in place of banking windows. The rail matters more than the coin.

Visa has moved the stablecoin capabilities of Visa Direct from pilot into commercial deployment. Inyo Global, a payments infrastructure provider serving money transmitters, fintechs, banks, and payment businesses, is the first enabler to put stablecoin-enabled prefunding into production. Businesses on Inyo's platform can now prefund cross-border payouts through Visa Direct with USDC in near real time, rather than relying only on traditional funding windows.
The pilots began in 2025 and covered prefunding and payouts for eligible clients. The production rollout is available to eligible clients and partners, with availability varying by geography. Inyo's platform reaches more than 180 countries through a single connection and runs through the APIs its customers already use.
The Calveris reading
This is what stablecoin infrastructure looks like when it works: nobody sees the coin. A payout company that once had to park dollars in advance, across time zones and bank cut-offs, can now fund at the moment it needs to. The stablecoin is a liquidity instrument inside a payment rail, not a product the end customer holds.
When we say we invest in the rails beneath digital dollars, this is the layer we mean. The prefunding, the treasury operation, the gateway between the coin and the bank account.
